Tirana, July 25 – The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, this morning inspected the service being offered at the health center no. 10 in Tirana, one of the 4 health centers with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service for pediatric emergencies.
“There are more than 1000 visits or services during this month, which were performed by pediatricians in the 4 health centers here in Tirana. Services have been provided to parents on time, the pediatric service is not missing, has not been missing and will not be missing with visits to the pediatrician in the 24-hour health centers that we have opened, but also in QSUT where the pediatric hospital is in full readiness” – said Manastirliu.
Minister Manastirliu spoke about the plan of measures against the heat, where she informed that the Mobile Medical Assistance Units in the field will continue to be on alert even during this heat wave week.

“We will continue this week at our medical assistance points in the country, they will continue to stay at these outposts that we have set up. There are four in Tirana and five in the other districts, where in addition to the 18 ambulance units we have in the coastal areas, we will provide dedicated assistance and security for emergency cases. There are 1,500 services that have been provided during the past week and we will continue to support our medical staff, so that timely service for citizens is provided in the best possible way”, said Manastirliu.
Health center no. 10 in the Oxhak area, health center no. 7 in Laprakë, health center no. 8 near Wilson square and health center no. 6 in Kombinat, offer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service for pediatric emergencies.

Within the plan of measures against the heat, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in coordination with all the health structures and the Medical Unit of the Army, continues to have nine ambulances on standby in the areas with high flow in the city centers to come to the aid of emergency cases; 18 ambulances in the tourist areas with the highest flow. Also, 30 summer health centers have been opened in coastal and mountain areas.
