Manastirliu in Shengjin: Increased readiness, more than 26 thousand citizens have received service in the summer centers

Shengjin, Lezhë, July 31 – The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, visited the 24-hour summer health center in Shengjin, as part of safety inspections during the tourist season.

“The 24-hour summer health center here in Shengjin is one of the centers that we have a very good point of reference for the beach area for local and foreign tourists. We are on increased alert for the month of August, where the highest flow of vacationers is expected. So far, over 26 thousand tourists and vacationers have received service at 30 summer health centers in tourist areas” – said Minister Manastirliu.

During the visit to Shengjin, Minister Manastirliu asked the health inspectors to take measures to guarantee a tourist season as safe as possible in terms of hygiene and sanitation.
“It is important to record in time and to be in the territory of the inspectorate structures, guaranteeing that we record in time, recommend and of course take measures when necessary, for the improvement of the work and of course a further education of the accommodation entities or commercial entities that offer services to citizens, especially at this point of the season. There are more than 1,500 inspections, which were carried out during the tourist season, but I am convinced that there is still a need to go to every structure and ensure that all conditions are guaranteed and met”, said Minister Manastirliu.

Inspection structures such as the inter-institutional Task Force, but also other health structures are in a state of readiness. On the other hand, there are 30 summer health centers that offer services, visits, consultations, treatments, with reinforcement of health personnel, with staff who are continuously trained, to manage emergency cases, as well as reinforcement with drugs and medical materials. The National Emergency is also fully prepared to answer all calls for medical assistance at the unique number 127.
