Funding for hospitals increases, Manastirliu: Support for salaries and expansion of hospital services.

Tirana, August 24- Funding for the health system is increased, through the reallocation of funds from the state budget to support medical staff with new salaries, as well as to expand the range of medical services in hospitals.

“With the reallocation of the hospital budget, we will guarantee an additional financing of 1.3 billion ALL for the increased salaries of the medical staff. On the other hand, within the framework of the investments made, such as the new hospitals, such as the central hospital, the infectious hospital, the pediatric hospital, etc., but also the support with drugs and medical material and imaging and laboratory examinations that are also increasing, we have allocated the necessary budget for the safe financing of our hospitals”, said Minister Manastirliu.

Speaking about the new services that will be financed, the Minister of Health and Social Protection said:
“With this budget, we guarantee the expansion of services, such as the expansion of the service regarding invasive interventions in the heart at the Memorial Hospital, at the Shkodra Hospital and at the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital.

On the other hand, we will support the hospital health service for new services, such as invasive interventions in the brain, but also other services in the future, such as red marrow transplant or invitro fertilization, services that will be added to the system our health services, either this year or next year, for which work has started, so we are dedicated to guaranteeing the most effective, high-quality, and comprehensive health service”, said Manastirliu.
