Ms. Albana Qehajaj (Agastra)

Advisor to the Minister of Health and Social Protection

Since September 2025, Ms. Albana Qehajaj (Agastra) has been serving as Advisor to the Minister of Health and Social Protection.

Education

Ms. Qehajaj graduated in Language and Literature from “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University (2001)
and holds a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Tirana.

Professional Experience

Specialized in media and communication, Ms. Agastra brings over 30 years of professional experience, including:

• TV political affairs reporter (1997–2009);
• War zone correspondent (1999–2001);
• Editor-in-Chief and News Director in television (2009–2014);

She has also served as Media and Communication Advisor, and as Parliamentary Liaison Officer at:

• Ministry of Urban Development (2014–2017);
• Ministry of Defence (2017–2021);
• Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (January 2021 – April 2025);

Professional Contributions

Ms. Agastra has attended several national and international training programs in communication, including:

• Course for political correspondents (BBC);
• Conflict zone reporting (Reuters, CNN);
• Two-month course “Women, Peace and Security” (U.S. Department of State);
• Social media and governance (U.S. Department of State);
• Training on women and girls in conflict zones (UN, EU, USA) and others.
